Hats, hats and more hats!

I thought I would share some of the hats that I’ve made since I started crocheting last year. I have searched high and low for the patterns but sadly I cannot remember where I found them 😦 Maybe somebody recognizes these and can help me match them up to their patterns? Ok, I know that’s too much to hope for but it’s worth a shot! 🙂

I love to look at all the fun yarn bombs out there!  I feel inspired to create one somewhere local, but I don’t want the city of Santa Rosa to go through the hassle of taking it down.  I might just do one for a family member, maybe a tree in somebody’s yard will have to do 🙂 That way it can be enjoyed for awhile and not taken down immediately!

I love this local yarn bomb of the Sister city statues from Jeju City, South Korea located on Sonoma Avenue last year. Credit to Artist Judy Kennedy for knitting up these giant, cozy hats.

Ripple Stitch

I was going through my yarn stash and I noticed I have a ton of purple tones! So I thought, I know how to get rid of most of this! Let’s start a ripple stitch blanket! 🙂

I am pleased with how it’s turning out so far, what do you think?

Camo granny square blanket

I started a new project last week and at first I was planning on making a couple granny squares with the camo yarn I had left over from a previous project. But then I decided to continue to make that small square into one GIANT square!
I have never made a giant granny before but this definitely won’t be the last 🙂

Shameless self promotion!

I just wanted to let you all know that I have a few social media related links to share with you.  I have added some buttons to my side bars but I wanted to put them all in a neat little post for easy access 🙂

Here are a few projects from 2012, it’s a mixed bag but I was just learning and I wanted to know how to make different things. Enjoy!

Baby Booties!

I love making baby sized items because they can be worked on in a day and the end results are just so adorable!

I made these pink and white baby booties for a friend, they were my first attempt and I must say that they turned out almost perfect! I really love how the yarn changed color at the right places. (I used a variegated cotton yarn) Too bad they were a little on the small side so she never got to wear them, but they ended up being a rear view mirror decoration in her daddy’s car. 🙂

If you would like to make these cute little booties go here

Have fun and happy hooking! 😉

My First Granny Square Project!

I started my very first granny square project and I must say that I am quite pleased with my results so far. I am piecing together my fourth row of the blanket.

I am now working on granny square #39! So, only 81 more squares to go and I will be done 🙂 whew, this seems never ending!

Here is where I got the pattern. Smoothfox crochet source
